GET YOUR BODY STRONG

A NATUROPATHIC APPROACH:

SO, ITS BEEN 2 MONTHS our hands are no longer raw from all that hand washing and we can actually get toilet paper! We are staying at home, limiting social contact, becoming teachers, working hard; life is weird and full of worry for our loved ones and those around us. As well as following all the updated government guidelines what can we do? Wait? ACTUALLY, THERES LOTS WE CAN DO.

As a naturopath I can’t say enough how important it is to boost and support your immunity. Our bodies already have an intelligent immune system. When we feel tired, stressed or run down the body can struggle to fight off pathogens. Why not get your body to its optimal health? I wanted to share some simple ways to do this and hope it can help in some way.

PUT SIMPLY: You need to eat HEALTHILY, sleep WELL, exercise IN THE LOVELY SUNSHINE and de-stress by using this time to appreciate ourselves and our family.

Eat a variety of fruits and vegetables of as many different colours to ensure you have a great range of vitamins. Add the herbs to your cooking, smoothies or hot drinks for extra potency.

IMMUNE BOOSTING FOODS: Blueberries, Spinach, Sweet potatoes, Broccoli, Dark chocolate, Oily fish, Citrus fruits, kiwi, sunflower seeds, almonds, Green tea, Manuka honey,

IMMUNE BOOSTING and ANTI-VIRAL KITCHEN HERBS: Garlic (best raw), Ginger, Turmeric, Thyme, Rosemary, Sage and oregano.

HOBBIES: Anything good for the soul! Gardening and reading have been my escapism. Doing all the things I never have time for and treasuring the extra time I now have with my children.

Stay healthy and please message me if I can help with any recipe ideas…
