ABOUT
My Story…
I used to be a manager in the catering industry working long unsociable hours. After my first child, I realised that I needed to make a life and career change. I studied Herbal medicine for 6 years and I’ve never looked back!
What’s always fascinated me about herbs are the way they grow wild in abundance everywhere. Plants commonly thought of as weeds such as nettles, dandelions, clover and cleavers all ready to be picked and used medicinally. I enjoy foraging and making medicines, syrups and oils from the hedgerows. My workshops share these cost effective and tasty medicines such as rosehip and elderberry syrup, flavoured vinegars, oils, creams and ointments.
The most rewarding part of my job is watching my patient’s conditions improve along with their growing confidence. It never ceases to amaze me how quickly results can happen.
I mostly practice western herbal medicine however I use Ayurvedic and Traditional Chinese herbs along with their energetic philosophies. I also like to combine Bach flower remedies which aid in balancing negative emotional levels. I use my knowledge in nutrition to advise on dietary and vitamin and mineral issues and naturopathic experience in detox methods.
Qualifications and certification
I am a fully qualified Naturopath and Herbalist. I have a broad herbal therapeutic knowledge along with a strong foundation in nutrition, biomedicine, pathology and pharmacy. This enables an understanding of modern medicine as well as herbal medicine. Students run a public clinic practicing a minimum of 500 hours each. This gives a hands-on experience from the start.
I have worked with a range of conditions so far such as colds and flus, anxiety, eczema, sleep issues, depression, asthma, hay fever, gastritis, menopause, fibromyalgia and MS. Herbs can be used on their own or carefully to complement allopathic medicine.
I went to see Debbie for my anxiety, the capsules that were made for me made such a difference. Made me feel so much more level headed and chilled out. Thank you.
N.J
A mutual friend suggested I speak with Deborah about my hormone imbalance. I was so glad she did. After a thorough consultation, Deborah introduced me to herbs and tinctures, which worked wonders in helping me feel like my better self. I’ve always preferred the natural route, but it is about finding the right person with the knowledge and understanding of herbs and tinctures that match your needs.Deborah is without doubt that person and coupled with her kindness and attention to detail, I cannot recommend her highly enough.
