HERBAL MEDICINE REGULATIONS
REGULATION OF HERBAL MEDICINE WITHIN THE UK
Herbal medicine is regulated via The Medicines Act of 1968, sections 12:1 and 12:2 whereby herbalists are licensed to practice freely and supply herbal preparations preceding a consultation.
Herbal medicine is also governed by the Association of Master Herbalists and other self-regulating governing bodies which ensures that all codes of conduct and ethics are adhered to a high standard.
